There’s something the mere word produces
And I know
What next.
Up come some brushes

Thoughts to Friends..
Generally, every individual is blessed with a family, career, and skills to manage these two. From these follows a social life. Freud (not that I like quoting him, but, I might as well) brought the clarity – that -- work, love and play form the most important, and, significant ingredients of one’s life. Early on, training for the social component begins with friends. To take the concept just a little further before I come back to Fantastic five, in the 20th century, our social life (friends) is quickly getting replaced by office parties, socializing with colleagues, and/or rare visits by distant relatives.
I wish I could change the scene, but, lemme stick…
FANTASTIC FIVE begun with a chance ‘Lets Celebrate’ wave after our 10th class boards. We were around 7-8 girls, too different to fit into anything ‘One’, but probable united in that single cake cutting ceremony and white-black dress code. With time some dropped out, some got added, some left, some joined… The final ‘Fiver’ emerged during college (after 12th), and had get-together upon get-together, get-together, and, get-together.
Vandana – Photographer (engineer)
Vidhi – Care-giver (doctor)
Navneet – News Bulletin and aunt agony (Managerial work)
Shweta – Analyst and chand-ka-tukra (doctor)
(Check pic)
Reema (myself)
Finally after graduation, and two years of PG work for some, we are today at the threshold of starting something new… As is always during summers when decision-taking time begins. All said and done, whether it’s today, or one year from now, when, life again will demand for something new, somethings that’ll remain intact… for this group…
1. MEMORIES
2. WISHES
3. SNAPS
4. And, hopefully, GTs!!!
Cheers, fantastic 5! Hugs :D

Poheym
I like you so much,
That,
Everything fades into the background
(When you are there).
I think of so
That hours pass by;
And I am left sitting
In a resuming mode.
Do I have to be slow?
Can’t I be a go-getter?
Does the subtlety show?
Or do you want a letter.

Meaning of Life
(This was written in 2006... One of my best works...! :) )
Meaning of life
Start with Oxford dictionary. ‘Meaning’ means ‘the idea/purpose/importance of a thing’… abstract. ‘Life’ means ‘ability to breathe and reproduce, state of being alive/active, an existence’… abstract again. So, what exactly are we looking for? The purpose of our existence? An answer to ‘Why are we here?’? Or a sole aim that each individual should pursue? Common queries…multitude answers…none tangible…
And, subjective. Very subjective. Rohit will say one thing, Ruchi another. Though both might ‘mean’ the same.
Google will take you to elaborate theories on consciousness, Aristotle’s text, quantum physics, Everett-Wheeler and Graham theory, Monty Python film, pragmatism, (Gulp?Well, go on…) existentialism, Erich Fromm and Abraham Maslow’s ideas on self-actualization…endless…thanks to (1) the efficiency of search engine, and (2) the vastness of topic. But, incomprehensible…jargon. “This makes me doubt the ‘genuineness’ of my quest”, you think. “Is the answer beyond my understanding?” you are forced to think. DON’T. Don’t give up…
For, this is precisely where the ‘meaning of life’ comes in. It’s a continuous quest…an eternal journey…and a timeless road… can’t find my thesaurus for more synonyms of ‘ceaseless’. Anyway, the point being made is – Life is meant to be ‘lived’… lived to the FULL - continually. No ambition? Keep going…make the road so beautiful that it becomes a destination in itself. No motive? Look within. Perceive. Too chaotic? Superiority of human race. Complexity. Meaning? Now that’s circular…

Tea T
Tea and it’s Side – Effects
As I sat in the lobby sipping tea with family today, I realized how fortunate I am. I couldn’t help, but, express – ‘waah kya life’
I love tea. The mere sight of this beverage increases the happiness hormone secretion. It wasn’t so in the earlier days... (and it’s my secret – uh well, a well known secret – that I began liking tea because it would make me ‘feel’ as if I were working hard, which wasn’t the truth in any form). Overtime, it took me and brought me to taking 3-4 cups a day (and sans any guilt!!!) :D
Having said that, I’ll share the present facts. One cup at five pm has survival value for me (!), anything more adds zing.
Now, tea can come in huge number of ways. Iced tea to green tea, Black tea, honey tea, lemon tea.,.. Tea T (oops). However, me is by the general tea, for the general tea and ahem, to(ward)s the General Tea. While all forms have their benefits, tradition wins favour here. (Personal opinion).
Next, finally and lastly – it helps heart, reduces cholesterol (of course you got to remove sugar from the recipe!), boosts one’s attention and did you say helps prevent cancer, too?!
